Kentia Palm

Botanical name:

Howea forsteriana

A slow-growing and low-maintenance palm ideal for medium to low light conditions.

Originally from a small island, Lord Howe, off the east coast of Australia, this palm makes for a good choice if you are looking for some height in lower light conditions. Being a slow grower, it will take its place elegantly in a living room, dining room, or bedroom without dominating over time. Being a good low maintenance choice, it will not demand much of your attention other than an occasional good wipe of the leaves when they become dusty; the odd misting of the foliage in warmer conditions, and watering only when the soil surface becomes dry in the top 3-4cm of soil.
A great and reliable choice if you want a more tropical look and don’t really have much time to invest in the care.
