Cactus in 17cm pot
Different plants available - see options above.
Assorted cacti in different forms, mostly either upright or rounded and are the perfect choice for someone starting out with houseplants due to the easy care requirements.
Cacti and succulents are known for the perfect form and symmetry as well as the fact that they are by far the easiest houseplant to care for. As long as you have a bright or even sunny position to place them, they will convince you of having green fingers. They boast minimal care requirements in the way that they only get water when they are totally dry...so easy. A real winner for the beginner.
Supplied in a 17cm nursery pot.
Plant size ranges from 30-40cm tall, inclusive of the pot, and 16-20cm wide.
Will fit into a pot cover size of 18-20cm wide and 17cm deep.
Mostly tall or rounded forms and the height and spread are dependant on the genus or species. If you need more detailed specifications on any of them, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Bright conditions and even direct sunlight if you have the spot for them. They thrive in conditions where most other plants would not enjoy it, so take advantage of that baking hot window sill and prove to everyone that you do in fact have green fingers.
They thrive in drier conditions as they do in their native habitat. Keep the soil more on the dry side as they tend to rot if the conditions are cooler and the soil is very wet.
Health concerns and benefits:
Somehow we doubt any pet or human will have a munch on spiny cacti, but to re-assure you, cacti are non-toxic to both humans and pets.
It is known for having strong air-purifying abilities by filtering airborne toxins and converting them to oxygen. They are also particularly good at eliminating bacteria and reducing radiation.
Soft scale and mealybug insect generally evident when there is poor ventilation in very hot conditions. Overwatering, in general, is the biggest issue with cacti. They thrive on minimal care....less is more, as they say.
