A compact, lush and slow-growing tropical palm which brings a certain elegance to a table or countertop. 


The ‘Love Palm’ or ‘Parlour palm’ is native to Mexico and was widely used by the Victorians as a fashionable item for their parlours. Its lushness and elegance is its greatest appeal and with the slow-growing habit, it has become one of the best plants to put in a medium to low light position where you don’t want something to outgrow the space very quickly. Just worth has become a very popular gift item on birthdays and Valentine’s Day.

Supplied size:

Supplied in a 17cm nursery pot.
Plant size of 55cm tall, inclusive of the pot, and 30cm wide.
Will fit into a pot cover size of 18-20cm wide and 15cm deep. 

Growth habit:

Bushy and it may only reach the height of 1m and the width of about 60-80cm.

Ideal conditions:

Medium to low light conditions. Keep away from direct sunlight.

Watering requirements:

Water when the top surface of the soil is dry to the touch. 

Health concerns:

Non-toxic for both humans and pets.
It is known for having strong air-purifying abilities by filtering airborne toxins and converting that to oxygen. 

Known concerns:

Overwatering and possible red spider mite in very warm locations which lack good ventilation.
